The White Cottage Terms and Conditions How to Order Once we receive your order we will contact you with delivery times. Availability Payment Cancelling your Order You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future. If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. A term to this effect is only compulsory if you choose to make the buyer responsible for the cost of returning the goods. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights. Delivery The courier used is Parcelforce or DHL. If you are not in at the time of delivery they will leave a card and automatically try to re deliver the next day. After this, a card will be left with contact details for you to contact them to arrange a collection. Each parcel is held for 10 days in the local depot and if not collected it is returned to us. If an item is returned to us you are liable to the extra cost of shipping and a 20% fine. Delivery Address Returns and Refunds Please note we can not refund the actual postage cost* for returns. You will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us. When returning items you are strongly recommended to get proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost or damaged in transit. Damaged Items All deliveries need to be inspected for any damage before accepting them and signing for them, ensure you sign damaged with the courier as otherwise it will be taken that goods are received in good order. If in doubt sign for the goods as damaged, if there is any damage please email us to notify us of the damage within 24 hours.
